Sideloadly Fix

Sideloadly Stuck at 5%

Sideloadly hangs at 5% when Apple's sign-in server needs a browser session to verify your Apple ID. The fix takes about 30 seconds.

Quick Fix

Open your browser → go to appleid.apple.com → sign in with the same Apple ID used in Sideloadly → return to Sideloadly → click Start again.

Fix Steps

  1. 1

Open Safari or Chrome on your computer

Open any web browser on the same computer that is running Sideloadly.

  2. 2

    Go to appleid.apple.com

Type appleid.apple.com in the address bar and press Enter.

  3. 3

Sign in with your Apple ID

Enter the same Apple ID email and password you typed into Sideloadly. If two-factor authentication is enabled, approve the sign-in on your iPhone or enter the 6-digit code.

  4. 4

Wait for Apple ID dashboard to load

The Apple ID account page should fully load. This establishes a valid Apple session in your browser that Sideloadly can use.

  5. 5

Return to Sideloadly and click Start

Switch back to Sideloadly. Click Start (or Stop, then Start again to reset). The progress should now advance past 5% and complete the signing process.

  6. 6

If still stuck — try a different Apple ID

Some Apple IDs have stricter verification requirements. Create a secondary Apple ID and use that in Sideloadly.

Note: Never use your primary Apple ID for sideloading. Always use a secondary account.

Other Causes of Sideloadly Hanging

Firewall or antivirus blocking Sideloadly

Temporarily disable your firewall or add Sideloadly as an exception. Sideloadly needs to reach Apple's servers on port 443.

Apple ID used in too many devices

Free Apple IDs can only sideload on a limited number of devices (3 per week). Use a fresh Apple ID if you hit this limit.

Two-factor authentication not completed

When logging into appleid.apple.com, make sure you fully complete the 2FA step. Don't just open the page — actually sign in.

VPN causing routing issues

If you use a VPN, try disabling it before running Sideloadly. Apple's servers may behave differently over VPN connections.
