“Trust This Computer” Not Appearing on iPhone

If the Trust dialog never shows when you connect your iPhone, you can restore it by resetting Location & Privacy. Here's how.

Quick Fix

Go to Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Location & Privacy. Enter your passcode. Disconnect and reconnect your iPhone — the Trust prompt will appear.

Why the Trust Dialog Disappears

Tapped 'Don't Trust'

Fix

iPhone remembers this choice per computer. Reset Location & Privacy to clear it.

Computer already trusted (from before)

Fix

The dialog won't reappear if the computer is in the trusted list. If iGlide still can't connect, reset trust anyway.

Charge-only USB cable

Fix

The dialog only appears with data-capable cables. Use the original Apple cable.

iPhone in airplane mode or restarted mid-connection

Fix

Disconnect and reconnect the USB cable.

Step-by-Step Fix

    Disconnect your iPhone

    Unplug the USB cable from your iPhone before making any changes.

    Reset Location & Privacy

    On iPhone: Settings → General → Transfer or Reset iPhone → Reset → Reset Location & Privacy. Enter your device passcode when prompted. This resets all trust decisions, including which computers your iPhone has trusted or rejected.

    Warning: This also resets location permissions for all apps. Apps like Maps and Camera may ask for location access again.

    Reconnect iPhone with original Apple cable

    Plug the original Apple Lightning or USB-C cable back into your iPhone and computer.

    Tap 'Trust' and enter passcode

    The Trust This Computer dialog appears on your iPhone. Tap Trust and enter your device passcode. The computer is now trusted.

    Open iGlide LocationChanger

    Your iPhone should now appear in iGlide's device selector. Select it and click Connect.
