Installing Apple USB Drivers on Windows

iGlide LocationChanger requires the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver to detect your iPhone on Windows. This driver is installed by iTunes from apple.com.

Use Apple's official iTunes installer

For the most reliable Apple Mobile Device USB Driver setup on Windows, install iTunes from Apple’s official website.

Installation Steps

  1. 1

    Check your installed iTunes version

Open Settings → Apps → search for 'iTunes'. If it shows 'Microsoft Corporation' as publisher, this is the Store version and must be removed.

  2. 2

Uninstall old iTunes versions (if installed)

Settings → Apps → iTunes → Uninstall. Also uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support and Apple Application Support if present.

  3. 3

    Download iTunes from apple.com

Go to apple.com/itunes and click Download. Save the installer (iTunes64Setup.exe or similar).

  4. 4

    Run the iTunes installer

Double-click the installer. Follow the setup wizard. Accept all components — do not deselect any. Complete the installation.

  5. 5

    Restart your computer

Restart Windows to ensure the Apple Mobile Device Support service and driver are loaded.

  6. 6

    Verify driver installation

Connect your iPhone. Open Device Manager (right-click Start → Device Manager). Under 'Portable Devices', you should see 'Apple iPhone'. If it shows a yellow warning icon, the driver is not installed correctly — try reinstalling iTunes.

  7. 7

    Launch iGlide and connect

Open iGlide LocationChanger. Your iPhone should now appear in the device selector. Enable Developer Mode and trust the computer if not done already.
